May 9th Ribbon Cutting for Jackass Hill Brewery!

From Bank to Brewpub

You most likely have seen the recent change in Downtown Littleton that took place at 2409 W. Main Street.  Jackass Hill Brewery opened in early January and is founded by Pat Somers, Chuck and Rosanne Thenell, Kevin Miller and Jeff Bennett. The one-story building, once a bank, now the home of the brewpub, features the main bar and indoor table seating where the nano-brewery is visible through windows. There is also an outdoor beer garden with a fire pit and room for food trucks that change daily.  Beyond the tap, patrons can order a variety of spirits and wines by the glass. And if you are feeling hungry you can treat yourself to such items as nachos, chips & dips, mac & cheese or a charcuterie board from the kitchen.

Mayor Brinkman will be cutting the ribbon at The official Grand Opening Ribbon cutting ceremony which will take place on Thursday, May 9th at 4 pm. The celebration will be a fundraiser where 25c of every pint sold will go Longhopes Donkey Shelter so come drink a pint (or a few) for MOOSE!

JHB Brewer

Brian Reinecke, who has been making beer since 1993 and crafted his talents in the Kansas City area, will be the pub’s brewer. In his 20 years in Colorado, Brian has worked with top brewpubs in the state and has skills in both production and small scale creative brewing which is where his passion will shine at Jackass Hill Brewery.  Be sure to check out the JHB website events page to purchase tickets to be one of 20 people each month for a private beer tasting with the brewer; learn about different beer styles with beer samples and food pairings.

The Jackass

And we can’t forget to mention Moose! Moose, a miniature donkey, is their 30 yr old mascot of sorts who even has his own club – ‘Moose’s Mug Club” where proceeds help sponsor him at the Longhopes Donkey Shelter where he is living out his golden years.
