Breckenridge Brewery in Littleton unveiled its new array of solar panels to a small crowd on February 26, 2020. ForeFront and HOLT Renewables completed a rooftop solar system for Breckenridge Brewery consisting of 792 (PV) panels. The new solar panels will produce about 20% of the brewery’s annual energy consumption. That works out to over 675,000 pounds of CO2 not being released back into the atmosphere each year. This latest sustainable initiative by Breckenridge Brewery is part of a larger program by the Brewers Collective to be 100% powered by wind and solar by the end of the year. It also aligns their business with hundreds of other breweries across the U.S. that have taken steps to reduce their carbon footprint.
