On Wednesday, September 2, 2020, the City of Littleton completed the review of applications for the Littleton CARES – Business Recovery Grant and the Littleton CARES – Non-Profit Assistance Grant. Grant awards have been processed and checks will be mailed on September 4 to recipients. This was the third round of economic relief, preceded by Phase I and Phase II of the Littleton Business Recovery Grant with total awards of $275,000. Total awards for all three phases equal $811,000.
The application process was open from August 11 through August 17, 2020. Total funding for the Littleton CARES – Business Recovery Grant was $375,000 with individual awards of up to $30,000 possible. Applications meeting eligibility totaled $562,812.58. An unbiased weighted scoring system was applied to determine the final awards. Total funding for the Littleton CARES – Non-Profit Assistance Grant was $200,000 with individual awards of up to $10,000 possible. Applications meeting the eligibility requirements totaled $161,000, leaving a balance of $39,000. The Littleton City Council will be reviewing the CARES Act on September 24 to discuss the remaining non-profit fund balance.
